From Taipei, Taiwan. To Atlanta, Georgia
Hi there, my name is Henry Chen, and I am currently a senior double majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at Emory University. I have started coding at the age of 8 with VBA and have increasingly learned more programming languages since then. I did my first computer science research during high school on Image processing of distorted panoramas correction.
Currently, I am doing research in Dr. Jinho Choi’s Natural Language Processing Lab at Emory University with focuses on character mining and knowledge base generation. I am one of the contributors to an open-source project called NLP4J. Other than academia-related works, I have created a system that handles service requests for both customers and technicians at Emory Student Technology Support, and it has been deployed since the summer 2015 and is serving more than 13,000 students at Emory. This summer I worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Scalyr Inc. I spent majority of my internship building and productizing an efficient and distributed log clustering system to put unstructured log messages into meaningful groupings.
